Security plan for the Arbaeen succeeds – Interior Minister

BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: The Iraqi minister of interior, Jawad al-Bolani, on Monday announced the success of the security plan related to the Arbaeen, a Shiite religious occasion.

“Security forces from the Iraqi army, police, and others made exceptional efforts in this regard,” al-Bolani said in a press conference in Karbala that was attended by Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

“The forces did not function within the borders of Karbala alone, but rather embraced the entire country,” he added.
