Iraqi army seizes weapons cache in Mosul

NINEWA / Aswat al-Iraq: An Iraqi army force on Saturday seized a big weapons cache that contained tens of mortar shells in western Mosul city.

“The cache was found inside an industrial warehouse, at al-Isslah al-Ziraee neighborhood, western Mosul,” a security source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
He explained that the cache contained “tens of mortar shells, 15 riffles, 20 Katyusha rockets, four missiles, 3000 bullets (7.62 mm), 30 grenades, and materials for producing explosives.”
Mosul, the capital city of Ninewa province, lies 405 km north of Baghdad.
