DIWANIYA / Aswat al-Iraq: Five rockets hit a camp of U.S. forces west of Diwaniya, southern Iraq, but no casualties were reported, according to a security source in the city.

“The attack targeted camp ECHO, 3 km west of Diwaniya,” the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

“Five rockets fired from the city’s al-Askari neighborhood landed inside the camp,” he added.

The source said he had no information about casualties.

Aswat al-Iraq contacted a spokesman for the U.S. forces in Iraq, who vehemently denied that the rockets landed inside the camp.
