Weapons cache seized in al-Qaem

ANBAR / Aswat al-Iraq: Police forces seized a weapons cache in eastern al-Qaem in Anbar, a security officer of al-Qaem police directorate said on Wednesday.
“The depot was hidden underground at a rural area in eastern al-Qaem, west of Baghdad,” Captain Bacim Fawaz told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
“The operation was based on intelligence tips provided by local residents,” he added.
“The depot contains 10 missiles, 11 mortar shells, an amount of TNT, 15 Kalashnikovs, 5 Rocket Propelled Grenades (RPGs) and an amount of explosives,” he noted.
Ramadi, the capital of Anbar, is 110 km west of Baghdad.
