Cop wounded in Kirkuk blast

KIRKUK / Aswat al-Iraq: A policeman on Monday was wounded when an explosive charge targeted his vehicle in downtown Kirkuk city, according to a local police chief.

“An improvised explosive device (IED) targeted the police vehicle under al-Shuhadaa Bridge, near Kirkuk police department,” Brig. Sarhad Qadir told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
The wounded was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, Qadir added.
