Soldier wounded in Mosul blast

NINEWA / Aswat al-Iraq: An Iraqi serviceman on Sunday was wounded when an improvised explosive device (IED) went off in eastern Mosul, according to a military source.

“The explosion occurred in al-Mithaq neighborhood, eastern Mosul,” the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
Mosul, the capital city of Ninewa province, lies 405 km north of Baghdad.
