2nd Baghdad blast leaves 15 casualties

BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: A civilian man was killed and 14 others wounded when an improvised explosive device (IED) went off in al-Qahira neighborhood, eastern Baghdad, the second blast in the Iraqi capital on Sunday, a senior security official said.

“An IED went off near a gathering of people close to a water reservoir in al-Qahira neighborhood, eastern Baghdad, killing one civilian and injuring 14 others,” Maj. General Qassem Atta, the official spokesman for the Baghdad Operations Command (BOC), told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

Earlier on Sunday (Feb. 8), an Iraqi police source said two civilians were wounded when an IED went off in al-Nahda area, central Baghdad.
