3 policemen wounded in Khanaqin

DIALA / Aswat al-Iraq: Three policemen on Saturday were wounded when a roadside bomb went off near their patrol east of Khanaqin, said the district’s emergency police chief.
“The incident took place at Aliawa village, 2 km east of Khanaqin, (155 km) northeast of Baaquba city,” Maj. Dler Sayyid Qadir told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
“The wounded policemen were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment,” he added.
The incident is currently under investigation, he added.
Baaquba, the capital city of Diala province, lies 57 km northeast of Baghdad.
