5 armed group members captured in Touz

SALAH AL-DIN / Aswat al-Iraq: Policemen captured five gunmen members of the Ansar al-Sunna group in the district of Touz Khormato on Friday, a security source in the district said.
“The detainees, who were arrested in al-Askar neighborhood, Touz Khormato, (100 km) east of Tikrit, are suspected of involvement in armed operations in the area,” the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
“The five men are remanded in custody pending investigations to know more details,” he added.
Tikrit, the capital city of Salah al-Din province, lies 175 km north of Baghdad.
