Weapons, explosives found in Falluja

ANBAR / Aswat al-Iraq: Police forces on Friday found a stockpile of weapons and explosives in eastern Falluja, a local police chief said.

“Policemen on Friday (Feb. 6) found a large amount of weapons and explosives in al-Karama region in eastern Falluja,” Colonel Mahmoud al-Eissawi told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

“The cache contains 2 cannonballs, 7 mortar shells, 10 bombs, an amount of TNT and 9 guns,” he added.

Falluja is 45 km west of Baghdad, while Ramadi, the capital of Anbar, lies 110 km west of Baghdad.
