Joint forces detonate IED near Kirkuk

KIRKUK / Aswat al-Iraq: Joint Iraqi-U.S. forces on Tuesday detonated an improvised explosive device southwest of Kirkuk, a source from the joint coordination center said.

“An Iraqi army force found at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday (Feb. 3) near al-Nour compound in the Kirkuk-al-Rashad road in southwest of Kirkuk a bomb,” the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency, noting that U.S. forces rushed to the area and detonated it without damage.
