Suicide bomber arrested in Kirkuk

KIRKUK / Aswat al-Iraq: The Asayesh servicemen (Kurdish security forces) on Tuesday arrested a suicide bomber with an explosive belt on him while he attempting to detonate himself in central Kirkuk, said the deputy director of the city’s Asayesh.

“The bomber’s name is Muthana Jasim Abdullah,” Colonel Salar Khalid told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
“The arrest operation took place near al-Shohadaa (Martyrs) Bridge, central Kirkuk,” he added.
Colonel Khalid pointed out that interrogation is underway to reveal more details.
