22 people arrested in Baghdad

BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Iraq’s security forces arrested 22 people during the past 24 hours in Baghdad, the official spokesman for the Baghdad operations command said on Thursday.

“Security forces arrested 17 wanted men and five suspected gunmen in the past 24 hours in the Iraqi capital Baghdad, where they also seized amounts of weapons and ammunition and defused three explosive charges,” General Qassem Atta told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

“Four security soldiers were wounded during these operations,” he added.
