Kidnapped woman freed, kidnapper arrested in Nassiriya

THI-QAR / Aswat al-Iraq: Police forces on Monday freed a kidnapped woman and arrested her kidnapper in central Nassiriya city, the director of the media department of the Thi-Qar police said.
“The criminal investigation forces on Monday (Jan. 26) managed to free a 35-year-old woman and arrested the kidnapper,” Colonel Sadeq al-Meshrefawi told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
“The woman’s family presented a complaint on the kidnapping of their daughter from al-Fedaa neighborhood in central Nassiriya,” he explained.
“After investigations, the forces managed to identify the kidnapper and to arrest him,” he also said.
Nassiriya, the capital of Thi-Qar, is 380 km south of Baghdad.
