Army soldiers arrest wanted man in Mosul

NINEWA / Aswat al-Iraq: The Iraqi army forces arrested a wanted man during a security operation conducted in northern Mosul city on Saturday, according to a military source.

“A force from the 3rd Brigade’s Quick Intervention Corps (QIC) captured a wanted man in a security raid in al-Qahira neighborhood, northern Mosul,” the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

“The detained man is believed to be a member of al-Qaeda network and suspected of involvement in several crimes in Mosul,” the source added.

Mosul, the capital city of Ninewa province, lies 405 km north of Baghdad.
