House of provincial candidate attacked in Hilla

BABEL / Aswat al-Iraq: Unknown gunmen on Saturday opened fire on the house of a provincial candidate in downtown Hilla city, but no casualties were reported, according to a security source.

“The candidate represents the Mustaqilloon (Independents) list,” the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
The source did not provide further details.
Hilla, the capital city of Babel province, lies 100 km south of Baghdad.
