U.S. forces found bomb north of Amara

MISSAN / Aswat al-Iraq: U.S. forces on Tuesday detonated an explosive charge in the north of Amara, a police source said.
“The forces found the bomb at the northern inlet of the Amara city,” the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
“The bomb was planted by unknown gunmen, targeting a U.S. military convoy,” he noted.
Amara, the capital of Missan, lies 390 km south of Baghdad.
