Bicycle bomb found south of Nassiriya

THI-QAR / Aswat al-Iraq: Police forces on Wednesday found a bicycle bomb in south of Nassiriya city, the Thi-Qar police said.
“Policemen on Wednesday (Jan. 14) managed to seize a booby-trapped bicycle after receiving intelligence information on its presence in al-Helwa region in al-Fadliya district, south of Nassiriya,” the police said in a statement received by Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
“A bomb expert rushed to the area to defuse it,” it added.
Nassiriya, the capital of Thi-Qar, is 380 km south of Baghdad.
