Cleaning workers wounded in Mosul blast

NINEWA / Aswat al-Iraq: Two cleaning workers from Mosul municipality were wounded in an improvised explosive device (IED) blast in the downtown of the city, a police source said on Wednesday.
“A small-sized explosive charge detonated close to two cleaning workers who were doing their job on al-Kornish Street, downtown Mosul,” the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
The source did not provide further details.
Mosul, the capital city of Ninewa province, lies 405 km north of Baghdad.
