8 wanted men arrested, arms seized in Babel

BABEL / Aswat al-Iraq: Iraqi security forces on Monday arrested eight wanted people and seized their arms and ammunition during an operation in northern Babel, said a source from the province’s police.

“The operation took place in al-Bahbahaniya area, al-Iskandariya district, (50 km north of Hilla city),” the source told Aswat al-Iraq.
“Those arrested are wanted for terror charges,” he said.
According to the source, “40 Ak-47s and 13 grenades were seized during the operation.”
Hilla, the capital city of Babel province, lies 100 km south of Baghdad.
