5 policemen killed in Baghdad blast

BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Five Iraqi policemen on Tuesday were killed in a blast that tore through their patrol vehicle in northern Baghdad, according to a security source.
“An improvised explosive device (IED) planted by unknown men on the main road in Baghdad’s northern area of al-Mushahada detonated while the motorcade of Lt. Col. Ismail Faysal, a local police chief, was passing the location, killing him along with four of his security guards,” the source told Aswat al-Iraq.
