2 AQI operatives nabbed in Diala

DIALA / Aswat al-Iraq: Forces from the Iraqi army’s 5th Division arrested two members of al-Qaeda in Iraq (AQI) wearing explosive belts in a security operation in eastern Diala on Sunday, an Iraqi army source said.

“The Iraqi force raided the area of al-Bayjat, Kanaan district, (20 km) southeast of Baaquba, where they arrested two AQI members wearing explosive belts,” the source told Aswat al-Iraq.
