Iranian infiltrator arrested in Wassit

WASSIT / Aswat al-Iraq: An Iranian infiltrator was arrested southeast of al-Kut city on Tuesday thanks to intelligence tips, a Wassit police source said.
“Policemen captured an Iranian who illegally infiltrated into Iraqi territories in Sheikh Saad district, (55 km) southeast of Kut,” the source told Aswat al-Iraq.
He did not give more information about the infiltrator.
Kut, the capital city of Wassit province, lies 180 km southeast of Baghdad and 90 km away from the joint Iraqi-Iranian borders.
