Security forces defuse 2 100-kg rockets in Missan

MISSAN / Aswat al-Iraq: Police forces on Thursday defused two sophisticated rockets in Missan, a security spokesman said.
“A force from Missan Emergency police 2nd battalion defused two 240-mm caliber sophisticated rockets in Amara,” the chief of Missan police media department said.
“The 112 kg rocket was made in 2007 and has huge destructive power,” the spokesman noted.
Missan, has been the scene of a large-scale operations to crack down on gunmen and illegal border dealings since June 19, 2007.
