Policeman killed in Mosul

NINEWA / Aswat al-Iraq: A policeman was killed on Sunday when his patrol came under fire from unidentified gunmen in eastern Mosul city, a security source in Ninewa province said.

“An Emergency 4th Division policeman was killed today when his patrol came under attack by unidentified gunmen in the area of al-Darkazliya, eastern Mosul,” the source told Aswat al-Iraq.

“The gunmen waged their attack from inside a vehicle,” the source added, not revealing more details.

Mosul, the capital city of Ninewa, lies 405 km north of Baghdad.
