Police arrest 13 wanted men in Missan

MISSAN / Aswat al-Iraq: A total of 13 wanted men were arrested on Friday by Iraqi security forces in south of Amara city, a security source said.

“Police forces managed to arrested 13 wanted men in al-Maymouna district in south of Amara,” the source told Aswat al-Iraq.

“The operation was based on a tip-off and judicial orders,” he noted.

Missan is a Shiite province. Its capital city is al-Amara. Sitting on the Tigris River, Amara lies 390 km south of Baghdad. Missan, in the east of the country, bordering Iran, is home to many marsh Arabs.
