4 Iranian Revolutionary Guards arrested in Diala

DIALA / Aswat al-Iraq: Iraqi border forces arrested four members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard at a border point in northeastern Baaquba, an official source from the border forces in Diala said on Saturday.

“A force from the 4th contingent of the Iraqi border brigade in Diala province arrested last night four members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard inside the Iraqi territories, in the suburb of Mandili (55 km) northeastern Baaquba,” the source told Aswat al-Iraq.“The four were in military uniform with guns in their possession and were moving within the Iraqi territories,” he said, noting they were placed under investigative custody.

Baaquba, the capital city of Diala province, lies 57 km northeast of Baghdad.
