KIRKUK / Aswat al-Iraq: Seven wanted men were arrested on Monday in accordance with Article IV Terrorism Law in west of Kirkuk, chief of the Kirkuk Districts Police Department said.
"A joint force of KDPD, Kirkuk intelligence and army forces launched a security operation in five villages between al-Huweija and Riyadh districts, west of Kirkuk, where they arrested five wanted men," Brigadier Sarhad Qader told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
"The operation came after the attack on Riyadh police chief, where two policemen and three civilians were killed and seven others were wounded.
"Another wanted man, Mohammad Khattab Ismail, and his brother, Mahmoud Khattab Ismail, were arrested in Ahmad Danouk village, by the KDPD as the force found a large weapons cache belongs to the al-Naqshabandiya armed group inside their house," the same source said.
