BAGHDAD/ Aswat al-Iraq: Presidential statement announced today that Iraqi President Jalal Talabani's health is "good".

The statement quoted accompanying Iraqi physician, thus denying the report published by a local newspaper that Talabani's health is deteriorating.

Dr.
Najm al-Din Karim denied that the reports quoting Ali Nawfal, German physician, of Arab origin, working in the same hospital, that Talabani's health was deteriorating.

Dr.
Karim added that "there is no such a physician in the German hospital, as well as the hospital has its official spokesman on every case treated in the hospital".

The Iraqi newspaper, Al-Bayinah al-Jadida daily, said that Nawfal stated that "Talabani is dead clinically, who may not live more than one month".

Talabani's medical team confirmed the stability of his medical situation and his positive response to the medical treatment.
