Gunmen kidnap child, Sahwa officer kills partner in Kirkuk

KIRKUK / Aswat al-Iraq: A Sahwa officer was killed by his partner, while unknown gunmen kidnapped a child in the city of Kirkuk, a security source said on Friday.
“A Sahwa officer shot and killed another Sahwa element on Thursday (April 21) in al-Riyadh district, southwest of Kirkuk,” the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
“The body was sent to the morgue and an investigation was launched into the incident,” the source added.
Meanwhile, the same source said that unknown gunmen kidnapped an 11-year-old boy in front of his house in Baghdad road region, central Baghdad, late Thursday.
“Policemen found and unknown body in Darawza region in northern Kirkuk in a third incident in the oil-rich province,” he said.
Kirkuk is 250 km northeast of Baghdad.
