1/16/2013 3:35 PM

ANBAR/Aswat al-Iraq: Chairman of Iraqi pro-government Sahwa (Awakening) forces Sheikh Ahmed Abu Risha accused Iran and other un-named countries after the assassination of MP Sheikh Ifan al-Issawi and other national personalities in Iraq.

Abu Risha told Aswat al-Iraq that Iran and foreign counties with criminal agendas are responsible for the assassination.

MP Issawi was assassinated by a suicidal attempt by an explosive belt while entering the sit-in site in Fallujah.

Since 22 December 2012, Anbar province witnessed massive demonstrations and sit-in, in addition to Ninewa, Salahal-Din, Diala, Kirkuk and Baghdad demanding the release of innocent detainees and prisoners, while others called for toppling Maliki's government.

Ramadi, center of the province, lies 110 km west of the capital, Baghdad.
