BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Speaker of the Iraqi parliament, Osama al-Nujaifi, will head for India on Saturday in response at an invitation from his Indian counterpart.

"The speaker will discuss with Indian officials efforts exerted to expand relations in parliamentary fields as well as issues of common interest," the media office of al-Nujaifi said in a statement.

"Al-Nujaifi will meet with members of the Iraqi community to be acquainted with their problems," it added.
