BAGHDAD/ Aswat al-Iraq: Chairman of Russian Lukoil Waheed Al-Kaberov signed today the first amendment of developing West Qurna oil field (phase 2) with South Oil Company.

According to the amendment, the Norwegian share in the project (18.75%) was handed to Lukoil and decreasing the peak production from 1.8 million b/d to 1.2 million b/d.

It was agreed, also, to increase the peak production period from 13 years to 19.5 years and the period of the contract from 20 to 25 years.
