Iraq demands clarifying executing 7 Iraqis in Saudi Arabia, statement

BAGHDAD/ Aswat al-Iraq: Iraqi foreign ministry demanded an explanation from Saudi Arabia on executing 7 Iraqis.

In a statement, copy received by Aswat al-Iraq, the ministry is questioning this action "at a time the two countries are to sign an agreement on exchanging prisoners and convicts".

The statement added that the executed Iraqis were charged with drugs dealing.

"We denounce these executions at a time we are going to sign an agreement on exchanging prisoners and convicts", the statement added.

The statement called Saudi Arabia to stop further execution for similar charges.

Free Iraqiya bloc Mp Alia Nsaif called, earlier, to investigate these news and called the United Nations to interfere, if the news are authentic.
