Ahrar MP charges Premier Maliki of "dividing Iraq"
1/8/2013 6:04 PM

KARBALA/ Aswat al-Iraq: An Ahrar Bloc leading member MP Jawad al-Hasnawi critically charged Premier Nouri al-Maliki of creating crises that will lead to dividing Iraq into three states.

Hasnawi told Aswat al-Iraq that "crises are begetting each other, thus it is difficult to find solutions, because there is one component that does not want to reach one".

He pointed out that this component is Premier Maliki who is implementing "a foreign agenda".

Hasnawi identified the agenda as "American" in agreement with US vice-president Joe Biden who proposed the plan to divide Iraq into three states.

He added that these crises are attempts to cover administrative and financial corruption prevailing in the country.

Iraq is witnessing "one of the most dangerous crises" in its history after 2003, through massive protests that extended to Anbar, Salah al-Din, Ninewa, Kirkuk, Diala and Baghdad, as well as other areas in the country.

The protestors demanded the release of male and female prisoners and detainees and cancellation of terrorism and de-Baathification laws and to rectify the political process in the country.
