9 wanted for terrorism arrested in Kirkuk
KIRKUK/ Aswat al-Iraq: Police sources said here today that a joint force arrested nine wanted persons for terrorism charges in several areas south west the city.
The source told Aswat al-Iraq that the security operations were conducted 65-45 kilometers south west Kirkuk.
The source added that the joint operations were conducted following the explosion of two cars, two electrical towers, 10 bombs and other terrorist operations in the province during the past few days.
The raids were conducted by Dijla operations command, as the source added.
No other information was given.
Kirkuk, center of the province, lies 280 km north east of the capital, Baghdad.
It is one of the hot areas where violent actions took place on a semi-daily bases against security forces and civilians, alike.
