BAGHDAD/ Aswat al-Iraq: Deputy Premier Saleh al-Mutlaq discussed with the French ambassador to Iraq Denys Gauer the development of political and economic relations.

In a statement by Mutlaq's office, both sides tackled the situation in Iraq and the regional politics.

Iraqi internal politics were among the topics discussed, particularly the current demonstrations and the demands of the people.

The French ambassador expressed hopes that Iraq will surpass the current crises and confirmed French stand to support Iraq.
