BAGHDAD/ Aswat al-Iraq: Deputy Premier Saleh al-Mutlaq discussed here today with UN representative to Iraq Martin Kobler Iraqi crises, including the present demonstrations and the talks among the political blocs.
In a statement by his office, the meeting discussed the demands of the demonstrators and necessity to positively respond according to the constitution and law.
It added that Mutlaq stressed the importance of implementing these demands as public ones connected with the agonies of the people.
On the other hand, Kobler expressed hopes that Iraqi political components will reach mutual understandings that will lead to final solutions to the pending questions.
Since 22 December 2012, Anbar province witnessed massive demonstrations and sit-in, in addition to Ninewa, Salahal-Din, Diala, Kirkuk and Baghdad demanding the release of innocent detainees and prisoners, while others called for toppling Maliki's government.
