Mosul protests leave 5 killed, 15 wounded

NINEWA / Aswat al-Iraq: The final count of casualties resulting from Friday’s demonstrations in Mosul city is five deaths and 15 wounded, according to a local security source in Ninewa.
“Clashes that followed demonstrations off the Ninewa provincial building on Friday left five people killed and 15 others wounded,” the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
“The injuries were the result of shooting, shrapnel and stun bombs,” he added, not giving further details.
Mosul, the capital city of the violence-ridden multi-ethnic province of Ninewa, lies 405 km north of Baghdad.
