Joint Iraqi-US Force detains Ninewa’s Traffic Director

NINEWA / Aswat al-Iraq: A Joint Iraqi Army and U.S.
Force have detained Ninewa Province’s Traffic Director, in the city of Mosul, the center of north Iraq’s Ninewa Province, on Sunday, a Ninewa Security source reported.
 
“A Joint Iraqi Rapid Deployment Force, supported by U.S.
air support, has detained the Director of Ninewa’s Traffic Police Director, lt-Brigadier, Nashwan al-Khazraji, at his office in east Mosul’s Faisaliya district on Sunday,” the Security source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
 
He said “Army Hummer vehicles had surrounded the Ninewa Traffic Department and arrested Lt-Brigadier, Khazraji at his office, whilst U.S.
choppers were seen flying over the building,” without giving further details.
 
Mosul, the center of Ninewa Province, is 405 km to the north of Baghdad.
