BAGHDAD/ Aswat al-Iraq: Premier Nouri al-Maliki stressed today that the Iraqi army should be for all Iraqis, "an army to serve the country and not attacking others".
In a Premiership statement, Maliki attended Iraqi army Chief-of-Staff's annual conference, held today.
"The new doctrine of Iraqi army that it should be an army for all Iraqis", Maliki confirmed.
The meeting was attended by senior army officers who briefed Maliki the new developments taking place in the Iraqi army.
