ANBAR / Aswat al-Iraq: An armed group on Tuesday kidnapped a civilian engineer while leaving his house in western Anbar, a police source said.

 

 

"An armed group kidnapped Engineer Yasser Aamer al-Rawi, while leaving his house in central Rawa district, western Anbar, threatening him using weapons," the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

 

 

"Security forces have intensified their measures and closed all inlets and outlets to the district to prevent the kidnappers from escaping," he added.

 

 

Rawa district is 320 km west of Ramadi, the capital of Anbar, which lies 110 km west of Baghdad.
