Moving Hashimi's case to international courts illegal - expert
2/3/2012 12:34 PM

KARBALA / Aswat al-Iraq: A legal expert said that transferring Vice-President Tariq al-Hashimi's case to the international courts is illegal, pointing out that the International Court has no right to hear the cases of those who have no immunity.
Expert Hatif al-Mussawi told Aswat al-Iraq that "the charges against Hashimi are within the the jurisdiction of Iraqi authorities", and Hashimi has no right to move it internationally because he has no immunity.
Hashimi demanded last Tuesday to internationalize his case, if his request to move the trial's location from Baghdad to Kirkuk.
