Haq group participation affects political situation - Ahrar bloc
1/4/2012 7:27 PM

KARBALA / Aswat al-Iraq : Ahrar bloc MP described the participation of Asib ahl al-Haq, renegade of the Sadrist Trend, in the political process as "a strike against the political situation that will increase divisions from within".

MP Iman al-Mussawi, from Karbala province, told Aswat al-Iraq today that "we heard that Asaib ahl al-Haq joined the politics after leaving their weapons, but this case will lead to more divisions", pointing out that Haq group has criminal acts known to all".

She advised the Iraqi government to check who wants to enter the political process and be sure of "not being stained with Iraqi blood".

Asaib ahl al-Haq is a renegade of the Sadrist Trend.

The Trend got 40 seats in the Iraqi parliament within the National Alliance, which got 159 seats out of 325.

She expected that the inclusion of Haq group is "the start of political process divisions", pointing out that "the Iraqi government does not necessarily need to accept such groups that will negatively affect the political process in the country".

Ahrar bloc, affiliate to the Sadrist Trend, stated in a statement today by its leader MP  Baha' al-Araji, that the Trend will "adopt a stand" if the Haq group is called to attend the National Conference due to be held this month to discuss the present political crisis.
