Govt.
denies the word "enemy" in a military cable

BAGHDAD/ Aswat al-Iraq: A leading member in the State of Law bloc, headed by Premier Nouri al-Maliki, criticized here today the statements of a Kurdish leading member for accusing the Iraqi government using the word "enemy" in a military cable.

MP Abdul Salam al-Maliki, in a press conference, criticized the "incorrect" statements of Jabbar Yawar, who is in charge of the Kurdish Beishmarga forces.

He pointed out that the movement of the armed forces is "ordinary within military contexts, not as a sign of emergency situation", because declaring such state needs the approval of two thirds of Parliament members.

MP Maliki called the Kurdish leaders "to stop such practices and to mix political cards", warning against anti-constitutional practices" which might lead to "constitutional and national interests reactions".#
