BAGHDAD/ Aswat al-Iraq: Iraqiya bloc MP Khalid al-Alwani stated the government is responsible for the escape of the prisoners, describing the situation as "dangerous".

In a statement by his office, copy received by Aswat al-Iraq, he added that "Iraq has the highest record in the escape of the convicts for dangerous crimes".

He expressed his astonishment for the decline of the State of Law bloc to endorse the General Amnesty Law.

Iraqi authorities announced last Friday the escape of 12 convicts, including Qaeda members.
