BAGHDAD/ Aswat al-Iraq: The Committee to support the French journalist Nadir Dandon announce that he was not able to leave the country till now, pointing that the French foreign ministry attributed that for "administrative formalities that need some time".
Spokesman Majeed Masoudin said in a statement that Dandon was released on 14 February instant after 23 days of detention by Iraqi authorities.
He added that Dandon did not receive all his papers to leave Iraq.
Dandon was released on financial bail by the Iraqi authorities.
He is having the French and Australian nationalities and worked with the French Le Diplomatique magazine.
According to annual report issued by the Journalists without Borders, published at the beginning of this year, Iraq comes in 29th grade in badly dealing with the press.
