BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq : Iraq participates in the ministerial meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Djibouti for the period of 15 to 17 November 2012, according to a statement from the foreign ministry.
"Foreign Minister Hoshiar Zebari and his accompanying delegation arrived in Djibouti to participate in the activities of the 39th session of OIC which is being held under the slogan (Solidarity for Sustainable Development)," said the statement received by Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
"The draft agenda of the session includes a number of essential topics that concern the Muslim Nation; particularly Palestine and the Arab - Israeli conflict, the Syrian crisis, different issues concerning the Islamic countries, combating international terrorism, refugees in the Islamic world, the UN reform, countering the Islamophobia phenomenon, the elimination of hatred and insults against Islam, combating defamation of religions, and the status of the Rohingya Muslims in the Republic of Myanmar."
