BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: The Iraqi Judicial Authority has announced that Head of the Court of Cassation Hassan Ibrahim al-Hamiri will chair the Supreme Judicial Council.
“Al-Hamiri was appointed in the new post according to the law number 112 of 2012, which was approved by the parliament earlier,” according to a statement released from the Judicial authority.
The Iraqi parliament had voted during its first session of the second legislative term on Dec.
15, 2012 on the judicial authority law.
