BAGHDAD/ Aswat al-Iraq: Cabinet General Secretariat denied the news that 3000 Iraqi families resorted refuge in Turkey due "to difficult economic reasons", stressing the ideas to assist the Iraqi families living in Turkey and abroad.
In a statement, copy received by Aswat al-Iraq, the General Secretariat added that delegations were sent to grant financial donations to Iraqi immigrants in Syria, Iran and Jordan.
Earlier, UNCHR reported that about 222.000 Iraqi immigrants were registered who were living in neighboring countries, pointing that 165.000 in Syria, 32.000 in Jordan, while the rest are living in Turkey, Egypt, Iran and Lebanon.
